RSVP by: Wednesday, November 21 (you are still welcome to come if you miss the RSVP deadline – this just helps us know how much food to order)

At the AGM we will be electing board members for the following positions:
Members at Large
MHC representative
Awards coordinator

If you are interested in a board position you can send your name or your nomination to one of the members of the nomination committee consisting of Kylee Tonita (kyleetonita [at] hotmail [dot] com), Lori Versavel (loriversavel [at] gmail [dot] com), and Amberlee Brownlie (amberleebrownlie [at] hotmail [dot] com).

If you have any bylaw changes that you would like please send me an e-mail regarding those changes to be discussed at the AGM.

Re-gift exchange game: Will take place after presentation of the Year-end awards. Everyone brings something they don’t want or don’t use anymore; bad gifts from the past are perfect!

  1. Everyone will put their gifts on the table.
  2. Once all the gifts are in place we will put numbers in a hat (if there are 10 gifts we do numbers from 1-10) and give them to people at random.
  3. Number 1 will get to pick and unwrap a gift first.
  4. Number 2 can either steal that gift or select another to open. This continues until number 10 opens their gift.
  5. Number 1 has the final chance to steal because they never had a chance to steal a gift.
  6.  If your gift gets stolen you can steal from someone else or select a new one (you can’t steal your gift immediately back) and a gift can only be stolen 3 times! After that the gift can no longer be stolen and will remain with the person until the end of the game.

If you have any questions regarding the AGM please feel free to contact me Tammy McKenzie (tammy_mckenzie [at] hotmail [dot] com)

Stabling chart: 2018_FallFestival_Stabling

I really appreciate everyone’s patience with this show and its schedules. As I indicated in my last e-mail this is my first time running two rings and it definitely makes things much more challenging regarding scheduling.

A couple of notes:

  1. I have the warm up schedules for Friday for the two competition rings completed. I have attached them to this e-mail. Make sure you take a look at both warm up schedules. I tried to get people as close as possible to their requested time for warm up but I could not give anyone their first choices.
  2. I have the tentative orders of go for Friday for both rings. Again make sure that you look at both schedules as a few people are riding in both competition rings on Friday night.
  3. I hope to have the schedules completed for Saturday and Sunday tomorrow (I am just waiting on a few last minute things to complete them). Walk-trot and First level tests will be run in ring 1 on both Saturday and Sunday. Training, second, third, and fourth level tests will be run in ring 2 on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday Wendy Clark will be the judge for Ring 1 and Ashley Fudge for Ring 2. On Sunday Ashley Fudge will be the judge for Ring 1 and Wendy Clark will be the judge for Ring 2.
  4. Just another reminder to bring the results of your Coggins test if you haven`t already sent me a copy. Or e-mail me a copy before the show.
  5. Make sure that your MHC and EC memberships are renewed for 2018, I will be checking all of the memberships online this week prior to the show (unless you have indicated on your entry that will be getting a temporary EC membership for the show). Those with SHF who haven`t already sent me proof of membership please bring proof of membership to the show or send me a copy prior to the show.
  6. A reminder that stabling will be in the Canada Room. The show office will also be in the Canada Room.
  7. A reminder to check in at the show office as soon as you arrive. As you are aware you will need to sign waivers and get numbers before you can ride and bath horses, etc. Number must be on your horse whenever it leaves its stall.
  8. You can start to arrive at 10 AM on Friday but no riding until 12:00 PM (noon) once the steward and paramedic have arrived.

2018 Lemonade Daze Show Schedule

Warm up times and ride schedule are now available.  There is always the possibility that the schedule may change but there shouldn’t be any major changes.

Just a few reminders:

  1. When you first arrive please come to the show office to sign a waiver and to pick up your numbers.
  2. If you haven’t sent confirmation of your EC and MHC memberships already please provide those when you first arrive.
  3. If you haven’t sent a copy of your coggins test result to the Show Secretary, please provide a copy when you first arrive.
  4. You must have numbers on your horse whenever your horse leaves its stall.
  5. The Show Secretary will open the show office at 11 AM on Friday, but no riding until the Steward, Michelle Taplin, has arrived at 12PM.
  6. Be safe and have fun.
