2022 Annual General Meeting

Location: At the Days Inn & Suites, Brandon; 2130 Currie Boulevard, Brandon – just off of 18th Street (#10 Hwy) or by Zoom (full Zoom invitation below)
 
Everyone is in encouraged to attend the AGM. We will be celebrating the 2022 show year and planning for the coming year. And we most certainly are looking forward to your input. There are the usual items on the agenda, there will be refreshments and treats, and lots of comradery and discussion. 
 
We encourage everyone to attend and to consider letting their name stand to be a new board member.  We welcome everyone to consider being a part of the team that will help put together the coming show seasons and club events.

2018 Westman Dressage AGM

Yearn-end Awards: Directly after the meeting
Refreshments: a light lunch will be provided

2017 Westman Dressage AGM

Date: Sunday Nov. 26, 2017
Location: Meeting Room – River Bank Discovery Centre, Brandon, MB

A light lunch will be provided. We will be bringing in sandwich trays and goodies from Coffee Culture.

We will also be having a Rainbow auction.

Year-end awards will be given out at the AGM.

Please RSVP by Monday Nov. 20 so we have an idea of the amount of food to get. If you end up being able to make it last minute and miss the RSVP deadline you are still welcome to come.

At the AGM we will be electing board members for the following positions:

  • Chair
  • Vice-chair
  • Secretary
  • Communications
  • Treasurer
  • Members at Large
  • Membership
  • MHC representative

If you are interested in a board position you can send your name or your nomination to one of the members of the nomination committee consisting of Tammy McKenzie (tammy_mckenzie@hotmail.com) and Terry McKenzie (terry@hedgeville.ca).

If you have any bylaw changes that you would like please send me an e-mail regarding those changes to be discussed at the AGM.

Just another reminder. We are in the planning stages of 3 bronze level EC sanctioned Dressage shows.

Dates:

  • May 11 – 13, 2018 ACE arena at the Keystone Centre
  • July 6 – 8, 2018 outdoor arena at the Keystone Centre
  • September 14 – 16, 2018 outdoor arena at the Keystone Centre

At this time we plan to offer the Prix Caprilli at each show (it is a combination of jumping and dressage).

2015 Westman Dressage AGM

Location: Riverbank Discovery Centre, Brandon, MB

A light lunch will be provided at the meeting. Coffee Culture will be making the sandwiches and some of the goodies so if you can let Tammy McKenzie know if you are planning on attending that would be great so that she knows the numbers for ordering food. Please let her know by Nov. 21 if you plan to attend.

Members and non-members welcome.

There will be door prizes, a rainbow auction, and a gift exchange  game (if you want to participate). If you plan to participate in the gift exchange game bring a wrapped item.

Year-end awards will handed out as well.

Westman Dressage AGM

Location: Riverbank Discovery Centre, Brandon, MB

Refreshments will be provided. AGM will be held first, then Year End Awards, and then socializing. We will be having door prizes and an auction. Also because we will be in the Christmas season for those who are interested can participate in a Christmas game. The game involves bringing a gift worth approximately $15. Each person who wants to participate will have the opportunity to pick a wrapped gift from the gifts that were brought. The first person selected will pick a gift from the wrapped gifts. The second person to choose a gift can either pick a wrapped gift or steal the unwrapped gift from the first person. This continues until everyone has had a turn.

During the meeting we will be also electing the Board for Westman Dressage, which includes the following positions:

  • Chair
  • Vice Chair
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Membership
  • MHC (Manitoba Horse Council) Rep
  • Newsletter / website
  • Members at Large

We encourage anyone interested to put their names forward for any of these positions or to nominate others for these positions. Please send any nominations to a member of the nominations committee: Terry McKenzie (terry@hedgeville.ca), Lynn Natuk (lpdnatuk@xplornet.com), and Karen Rempel (rempel@inetlink.ca).

In addition if you have any changes you would like to see made to the Westman Dressage Bylaws please let one of the present board members know of the suggested changes.
